This is an extended family session from this Fall. Not all the people that were present at this session are shown in this post for privacy reasons. I’m happy that I get to share a few from it because it brings me great joy to photograph extended families. Linda is the Grandma, pictured below, who called me to book the session with their two sons, their wives and children. While she was talking to me on the phone, she was telling me what she liked so much about my work, and I got a little choked up. It completely caught me off guard. It’s nice to know that people see what I intend for them to see in my work.
This session began on a beautiful evening which made for a nice time to gather for some photos. Linda saw this pumpkin head photo on Pinterest and had to have it for herself. Isn’t it a funny image? I love recreating images for people, so please call me if you have a silly idea or something you’d like to work with me on.
This winter I’ll be photographing mainly in client’s homes doing “Lifestyle Sessions”. Lifestyle sessions are guided family sessions, and we use your home as the backdrop. The kids generally lead me around the home showing me all their neat things and we capture you in your home with your family. They are some of my favourite types of sessions, just imagine looking at those photos down the road remembering they way everyone looked in their own environment! If you are the type that can brave the cold, I do shoot outside winter scape family sessions. Headshots are primarily done in my garage studio as well as on location depending on the number of people.
