I have to tell ya, there’s nothing sweeter than a newborn. I’m so in love again, and not to mention he’s so darn cute and chubby! He was born March 31, 2011 in the morning, and we named him Quinn Zane Hutchinson. He weighed 9 pounds 5 ounces, and 21 inches long. There’s a bit of a story behind all of our kids names, so I’ll write about Quinn’s today. We were planning on giving him no middle name because all of our kids middle names are after each of our parents ie. Ryker Jock, Eric Robert, Vaughn Patrick (after Glen’s mom Patricia). Which leaves my mom’s name Jane, which is tricky to work with for yet another boy. We had tossed around the name Zane for Quinn’s first name, but we just weren’t quite settled. The plan was to give him no middle name in honour of my mom, because she has no middle name, but while we were filling out the papers, I asked Glen if he was good with that, and he said it was fine with it but asked if he should flip a coin, so he did. The outcome of the toss was that he should have no middle name. That didn’t seem right to either of us so we both agreed on Zane and besides we sort of thought of ourselves as “in-zane” for having a fourth kid. My eldest brother had his first baby before Quinn was born and named her Natalie Jane, which I think my mom was ever so pleased with and so was I to be quite honest.
