It was hard picking favorites from this session. They are all so cute! Thanks Christine for inviting me to photograph your beautiful family! I had such a fun time. I don’t know if I’ve said this before but I really love my job!

Sometimes when I hear how couples met, I get goosebumps. Not all the time, but these guys, they were destined to find each other. They both grew up in South Africa a block away from each other not even knowing one another. Both families moved to Alberta a long time ago, one to Edmonton, one to Drayton Valley, eventually they met on a blind date golfing, and falling in love and getting married! Still gives me goosebumps.
I had so much fun photographing the wedding, it was really nice having help from a fellow PPOC member Jeff Gibbons and of course my good friend Erin Harris. Erin has been helping me for a few seasons of weddings, but this was the first time having Jeff along. I’ve been learning a lot from him and have been able to talk alot of photography which I always love to do! You can check out his blog at http://jeffgibbonsphotography.squarespace.com/.

These guys just get better and better everytime and I am in love with these images! I’m in love with this location because you’ll see that in the next two sessions I’ll share are taken here. It’s so versatile, old buildings and grassy field. What more could a photographer want?
I had so much fun at this session, I was dying to see and share the pictures.

Here’s a super nice email sent to me the day after their session:
“Hey Jackie;
I’m not wondering yet if you have the pics posted!! LOL Just wanted to Thank-you so much once again for photographing our yearly family photos! The kids are starting to get really comfortable with you and I think they enjoy all the snap shot attention! Each year it just amazes me how you always seem to come up with a unique way to capture the moments of our family. I can hardly wait to see some of the pics, looking forward to many more yearly photos.
Amanda”
Thank-you Amanda and Ian! I hope you love them as much as I do.
This is one of my favorite locations ever! Too bad it’s a 6 hour drive away:( It’s in Medicine Hat, and I hadn’t seen it before but this is the location my brother chose. He said he has been scouting this location for a while now. He must have been so in love with the location that he was saving it for himself and Melanie. It was a lot of fun as you can see by the fun pictures. They were both great sports!

The boys and I just got back from visiting my own family, so this reminded me of how great families are. My mom has a bunch of family photos hanging up in her newly decorated basement. They are so fun to look at and it’s a treat because my brothers are photographers too. I had the pleasure of doing a photoshoot for my brother and his girlfriend which hopefully you’ll see some from that session in a few days. For now here are some sneak peeks from this beautiful family. I would love to do more family sessions, so get your family booked for the fall now! Sessions are limited and going fast.

There are way too many great ones I wanted to share them all!

These guys were such good sports, I can’t wait to do the wedding!

I love these guys, we had a ton of fun! We drove around to some of my favorite locations for the session. I seriously love my job. The wedding is August 22, 2009.
