Tara was so adamant that she have me for her wedding that she phoned me not last summer but the summer before last for July 2010. It’s finally getting closer and I’m thrilled to be doing the wedding for them. All I hear is how much of a character this Tara girl is and I’m thinking that will make for some very fun images:) I can’t wait, the wedding will be a blast I’m sure! I’m loving Tara’s red hair and teal eyes. Stunning, don’t ya think?
Lindsey and Ryan are planning a tropical wedding. I’m pretty happy for them, but I wish I were going too! I guess I can’t complain too much. So far November has been pretty mild and I got to go to Vegas for a couple of weeks where it was really nice and warm. This session was a combination session with Lindsey’s family, and I got to do a mini engagement session with her sister Tara and fiance Kyle. I will post a few of them next. Thanks for the fun session Lindsey and Ryan. My husband loves your matching sweaters with the fall leaves, good choice. Very cuddly:)
Pat asked Kristy to marry him, so I shot ‘em. The funny thing is they asked ME to shoot them. I couldn’t believe it! I asked them where they wanted me to do it and who wants to go first. Pat boldly stepped forward but Kristy insisted on being at his side. Things sure livened up when I started firing away and all I can say is “I’m sure going to miss those two”, oh and I shot their dogs too. LOL!

Sometimes when I hear how couples met, I get goosebumps. Not all the time, but these guys, they were destined to find each other. They both grew up in South Africa a block away from each other not even knowing one another. Both families moved to Alberta a long time ago, one to Edmonton, one to Drayton Valley, eventually they met on a blind date golfing, and falling in love and getting married! Still gives me goosebumps.
I had so much fun photographing the wedding, it was really nice having help from a fellow PPOC member Jeff Gibbons and of course my good friend Erin Harris. Erin has been helping me for a few seasons of weddings, but this was the first time having Jeff along. What a blast this wedding was! Summer time is just beautiful and so green around here, I just love it! I had such a fun time just goofing and doing some really fun shots. Thanks Robyn and Ashley for having me shoot your wedding. It couldn’t have been any better, what a gorgeous day and even more gorgeous couple!
