This is another Drayton Valley session, but I want people in Okotoks to find me on their web search because that is where I’m currently living and working. I do plan to go back to Drayton at various times of the year to shoot, but I will inform the blog and Facebook followers of that happening. Here’s a huge post to make up for my tiny post last year. I have had the pleasure of doing this family’s pictures every year for the last 4 years. We always manage to get something different. Thanks for having me again Amanda and Ian!

This is another sneak peek from a Drayton family session. You might remember this spunky country girl from her newborn session. I had the pleasure of taking their family pictures once again this year. She is getting around very well these days, a little too well;) Tough girl though, she had a couple of falls, where I thought she might be done but she never tired out, she kept right on going a mile a minute! I bet she keeps her mom and dad busy during this stage of her life. She is very cute! Here are some of the fun images we got. I think I was right about my prediction from her newborn session lol, but time will tell I guess.

The second Drayton session I did was this beautiful family of five. I just love their clothes! All of the families I photographed in Drayton had great clothing. I had an amazing time photographing this family. I think the most rewarding part of being a family photographer is seeing amazing young families enjoying being together and capturing those moments the way they really were in that time period. I thought my baby had the cutest laugh, but holy smokes, this baby’s daddy can really get him giggling, and it’s soooo adorable! My baby and this cute baby are only five days apart:) I loved that they were so much alike too. Thanks for having me photograph your beautiful family Nikki, it was my pleasure. I’ve had extreme luck in my business having the opportunity to meet and photograph such stunningly beautiful people inside and out.

It’s gotten so late, I can’t even think about what this post was going to be about! All I know is I think I met one of the most agreeable, easy going 10 year olds out there, and a 15 year old boy that will be such a great babysitter for my boys! And a mom that helped me see why having boys was probably a good thing. Seriously though, the girls of Okotoks need to watch out for these two heart breakers! I literally feel on a high on my way home after a session, I completely forget I have a family, until I’m in the car thinking oh my goodness, my baby is probably starving! Then the inner me says “but, that session was soooo awesome! I say this all too often, I. Love. My. Job. The. End. GOOD NIGHT ALL. I hope that doesn’t sound like I don’t love my family, because I do and I consider myself lucky to be able to enjoy both! There is one more, that I am going to have to share, it’s a karate one, but I’m way too tired to do anything else.

My status on Facebook was that this session was truly amazing. The family was beautiful and loving, the baby didn’t make a peep, and we put him through everything possible. The 2 yr old was an absolute darling with big beautiful blue eyes. Busy. But so cute! Here I leave you to a quick sneak peek. Thanks for the amazing session Courtney and Andrew!
For those of you contemplating doing a mini session on Sept. 17th, spots are filling up quickly, and there are only a few spaces left. I’m hoping to do the mini sessions at this same location shown in this post. It is probably one of my favorite places I’ve ever shot at! So versatile! Thank-you to all of the very nice people who stopped in at my booth today at the Market Square. I thoroughly enjoyed myself today! I’m feeling the high:) And a very special thank-you to H + G for letting me use your property this evening and in the future as well.

To give you a bit of background on myself, I moved here about a year ago with my family from Drayton Valley. I’ve been loving my photography business for about 5 years now and I’m super excited to finally get back into it after the birth of my fourth baby, and relocation. Photographing families is my favorite thing. Here is the information about the family sessions I’m offering on September 17th here in beautiful Okotoks. It’s been so long, I’m rusty at blogging. I almost didn’t know what I was doing for a second. I’m getting so ready to have my baby and also to get back to work! I think it’s this gorgeous family that really got me fired up about working again. I’m thinking about starting up again soon after Quinn is born. I’m also getting super excited to take his newborn pictures, I’ve been online shopping for newborn stuff. Wish me luck;) Here’s the sneak peek from my session last week.
