Sayin’ goodbye to Miss Peanut Butter Pie! Okotoks Family Photography

Tuesday, January 31st, 2012

I met Theresa one fine day on the Facebook Okotoks Mamas group. She invited anyone and everyone to come over for an innocent piece of peanut butter pie, and the rest is history. We quickly became good friends and I thoroughly enjoyed my time spent with her and her adorable little guy Bodhi Lando Hermanos Fantasticus Gerritsen. Say that in one breath;) To make a sad story short, they’re moving to Bermuda:( I’m not the only one who will miss her though, she made some good friends in town and anyone that knows her is sad to see her go. I wish them the best of luck in the universe! Thank-you for coming into my life Gerritsen’s! Here’s this cute little family I’ve been referring to:

Happy 2012 to all!

Wednesday, January 4th, 2012

I’ve never been big on resolutions. But I have to tell you, there’s something nice about having a fresh start to a new year. The reason I’m bringing this up is because I’ve been thinking a lot about 2012, and what it will be like for me, my family and my business. It excites me and I look forward to fulfilling my new goals that I have set. Here are some Christmas pictures that I took of Quinn when he was 8 months. He’s now 9 months, which saddens me now in some ways, that it’s flying by so quickly. Isn’t he the cutest baby you’ve ever seen? LOL-I think I can say that;)

Clay & Nicole Engagement Sesh

Friday, November 25th, 2011

I’m thrilled to be doing Clay and Nicole’s wedding in September 2012 for them! September in Drayton is a fabulous time of year! They came down here for Nicole’s hair trial and killed two birds with one stone. Had their engagement pictures done on the same trip. Nicole’s hair and make up looked amazing. I was in love with it, Clay looked pretty handsome too, but Nicole, dang! Here are a few more from their session.

Moments Together – {Okotoks Family Photographer}

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

I got a last minute call for this session, the daughters were both visiting from school and their mom saw it as an opportunity to have family pictures taken before the real cold hits. The forecast had us a bit worried, but a beautiful day outside is what this session provided us with. We were pleasantly surprised and it was very enjoyable – not chasing around my subjects;) I’m thrilled with the images I was able to get. I just love their style!

Sassy! {Okotoks Family Photographer}

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

Another fall sneak peek. Here’s how the day went, it was raining, we cancelled, we rescheduled, the forecast said it might stop, so we decided to wait it out and see, and two hours before the session, we decided to go ahead with it and the session turned out wonderfully. If a bit chilly for their little girl;) I love it when it was meant to be! The plan is to make a book with these images. I can’t wait to see it in hardcover print! YAY!

Engagement with style! {Okotoks Wedding Photographer}

Monday, October 24th, 2011

One quick sneak peek from this engagement session that I shot two days ago. Can’t wait to share more, so busy these days! We had so much fun, we pretty much covered the whole town. So glad these guys could come down for a visit from Edmonton. I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in September ’12!

All that & more! {Okotoks Family Photographer}

I keep imagining what it would be like to have this as my yard! Jody and Kent are so incredibly lucky to be building a brand new home here soon. I can honestly say I’m jealous. Check out the to die for backdrop that Jody will forevermore be photographing her beautiful children at. I think I want an acreage…

Togetherness. {Okotoks Family Photographer}

Thursday, October 20th, 2011

This is another Drayton Valley session, but I want people in Okotoks to find me on their web search because that is where I’m currently living and working. I do plan to go back to Drayton at various times of the year to shoot, but I will inform the blog and Facebook followers of that happening. Here’s a huge post to make up for my tiny post last year. I have had the pleasure of doing this family’s pictures every year for the last 4 years. We always manage to get something different. Thanks for having me again Amanda and Ian!
