Moments Together – {Okotoks Family Photographer}

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

I got a last minute call for this session, the daughters were both visiting from school and their mom saw it as an opportunity to have family pictures taken before the real cold hits. The forecast had us a bit worried, but a beautiful day outside is what this session provided us with. We were pleasantly surprised and it was very enjoyable – not chasing around my subjects;) I’m thrilled with the images I was able to get. I just love their style!

Sassy! {Okotoks Family Photographer}

Another fall sneak peek. Here’s how the day went, it was raining, we cancelled, we rescheduled, the forecast said it might stop, so we decided to wait it out and see, and two hours before the session, we decided to go ahead with it and the session turned out wonderfully. If a bit chilly for their little girl;) I love it when it was meant to be! The plan is to make a book with these images. I can’t wait to see it in hardcover print! YAY!

All that & more! {Okotoks Family Photographer}

I keep imagining what it would be like to have this as my yard! Jody and Kent are so incredibly lucky to be building a brand new home here soon. I can honestly say I’m jealous. Check out the to die for backdrop that Jody will forevermore be photographing her beautiful children at. I think I want an acreage…

It’s gotten so late, I can’t even think about what this post was going to be about! All I know is I think I met one of the most agreeable, easy going 10 year olds out there, and a 15 year old boy that will be such a great babysitter for my boys! And a mom that helped me see why having boys was probably a good thing. Seriously though, the girls of Okotoks need to watch out for these two heart breakers! I literally feel on a high on my way home after a session, I completely forget I have a family, until I’m in the car thinking oh my goodness, my baby is probably starving! Then the inner me says “but, that session was soooo awesome! I say this all too often, I. Love. My. Job. The. End. GOOD NIGHT ALL. I hope that doesn’t sound like I don’t love my family, because I do and I consider myself lucky to be able to enjoy both! There is one more, that I am going to have to share, it’s a karate one, but I’m way too tired to do anything else.

One word, AMAZING! (Okotoks Family Photographer)

Sunday, September 4th, 2011

My status on Facebook was that this session was truly amazing. The family was beautiful and loving, the baby didn’t make a peep, and we put him through everything possible. The 2 yr old was an absolute darling with big beautiful blue eyes. Busy. But so cute! Here I leave you to a quick sneak peek. Thanks for the amazing session Courtney and Andrew!

For those of you contemplating doing a mini session on Sept. 17th, spots are filling up quickly, and there are only a few spaces left. I’m hoping to do the mini sessions at this same location shown in this post. It is probably one of my favorite places I’ve ever shot at! So versatile! Thank-you to all of the very nice people who stopped in at my booth today at the Market Square. I thoroughly enjoyed myself today! I’m feeling the high:) And a very special thank-you to H + G for letting me use your property this evening and in the future as well.

Firey hot!

Jackie Hutchinson Photography: The Fall (Drayton Valley Family Photography)

Monday, October 19th, 2009

How quickly I am reminded of why we love to photograph in the fall. The colours are truly breathtaking. I am so excited about this session, I just love it! These guys always have a few wardrobe changes with several outfits to choose from, and we always capture some beautiful images. Not to mention how much fun it is.

I actually got invited for icecream this time, that I unfortunately had to decline and go home to my children that were missing their mom. It’s been an incredible, but busy fall season for me. I can’t thank everyone enough. I feel so honoured to have met so many great people through my photography. Thanks Lorne and Shay for putting up with me:)
