Introducing Boudoir Envy! (Drayton Valley Boudior Photography)

Tuesday, March 9th, 2010

Boudoir Envy is a new company that a fellow photographer – Amanda Grue and I are starting up!! We are kicking things off with a HUGE event. A boudoir marathon!! We are both super excited to be hosting such a fun event.

So, what is boudoir photography exactly?

Boudoir photography is making a real come back in recent years. It is a growing trend among photographers everywhere!! Boudoir photos are taken wearing either just a little (such as cute lingerie or only your hubby’s favourite sports jersey) or maybe even nothing at all. They’re hardly X-rated though, but closer to PG-13: classy, flirty, fun and suggestive. Your not wearing much but you are not really showing anything either.

Why choose boudoir photography?

Boudoir photography is about encouraging a woman’s self confidence and bringing out a fun, playful, sexy side of yourself that you may not have know even existed. It’s all about getting beautiful, artistic photos of yourself and your significant other. Boudoir photography makes a unique (and maybe unexpected) gift for that special someone in your life and has become very popular among brides as a gift for their groom. Remember every woman is beautiful in her own way. True beauty come in all shapes, sizes, ages and colours, boudoir photography is truly for any woman!!

We are so excited we can’t wait! Keep watching the blog for more exciting things to come! The sessions will be held on May 15th the weekend before May Long.

Jackie Hutchinson Photography: Beautiful Tummy (Drayton Valley Maternity Photographer)

Wednesday, March 3rd, 2010

I had the pleasure of meeting Kerri at her first maternity session with her first baby, now she’s on number two! It’s predicted to be a boy this time and she’s due to have him today. I hope he decides that today is a good day;) Pregnancy looks really good on Kerri, but it’s all for show, at least she’ll have some super cute images of herself while she looked like this, very cool! Thanks for the fun time photographing you Kerri! Good luck, I hope all goes perfectly.

Jackie Hutchinson Photogrpahy: My Brother’s Wedding (Cardston, Alberta Photography)

Monday, November 23rd, 2009

My oldest brother got married a couple weeks ago and they asked me to do their pictures for them. I’m super excited to have a new sister inlaw! She made a scrap book with some of my pictures in it, and they look gorgeous in her layouts! I’m really excited to see what she does with their wedding photos. You might not be able to tell, but the day was extremely windy and cold. Melanie toughed it out though with many goosebumps:) I felt really bad for making her go out in the cold, but I think the pictures turned out fantastic with the beautiful temple grounds as the setting. Gary and Melanie, thanks for letting me capture your day, I’ll see you guys at Christmas! Here are a few sneak peeks:

Jackie Hutchinson Photography: Keep on Loving it! Drayton Valley Family Photographer

Monday, September 28th, 2009

I think Mamie and I were sisters in a past life. Well, except her house is clean. I know it because I saw it when I dropped in and she wasn’t expecting me. But I figured out that we must have been sisters in a previous life when I saw her son wearing runners with no socks! I do it all the time, it’s gotten to the point that Ryker prefers to wear his shoes without socks now. Here are some pictures of her beautiful family, I really have a huge attachment to these kiddos now. I think it’s the 6th time I’ve photographed them, wow! Thanks guys for always trusting me with your family portraits. It’s always fun!

Wednesday, September 2nd, 2009

These guys just get better and better everytime and I am in love with these images! I’m in love with this location because you’ll see that in the next two sessions I’ll share are taken here. It’s so versatile, old buildings and grassy field. What more could a photographer want? ;) I had so much fun at this session, I was dying to see and share the pictures.

Here’s a super nice email sent to me the day after their session:

“Hey Jackie;

I’m not wondering yet if you have the pics posted!! LOL Just wanted to Thank-you so much once again for photographing our yearly family photos! The kids are starting to get really comfortable with you and I think they enjoy all the snap shot attention! Each year it just amazes me how you always seem to come up with a unique way to capture the moments of our family. I can hardly wait to see some of the pics, looking forward to many more yearly photos.

Amanda”

Thank-you Amanda and Ian! I hope you love them as much as I do.

My father in law took us fishing at Buck Lake, here are some of the fish we caught. I even put a leach on my own hook once. Vaughn liked touching the fish too.

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Everyone should get family photos taken. I really love seeing first time parents with their new baby. The images are priceless and they grow up so fast. Here’s a sneak peak from a family session. I really want to encourage more people to do this, it’s so fun, and the pictures are even better! So don’t keep thinking about it, just call and book a session now. Spots for the fall are filling up fast!
